    How It Works
    To set up a Donor Advised Fund, you follow the same process whether selecting a registered charity, a qualified donee, or from one of Benefaction’s Charity Portfolios.

       1. You and your family choose a name for your fund, select the charity or charities
           you want to support and advise how to invest the money in your fund.

       2. Benefaction issues you a donation receipt.

       3. Your donation is invested, usually for a 10 year period, during which only a
           portion is allocated for charitable purposes, leaving the original donation invested.

       4. Benefaction provides regular reporting on fund activity and the good your
           grants are doing.

    Donate cash, securities, life insurance, and gifts from your estate to your fund, or invite family members, friends and colleagues to get involved in your cause by making a donation
    to your fund.
